BIMM University partners with Notting Hill Academy of Music to award recognised qualifications in music education

31 July, 2025

BIMM University has announced a new partnership with the Notting Hill Academy of Music (NHAM), a respected provider of music industry education based in London. The collaboration brings together two institutions with a shared commitment to preparing students for careers in the creative industries.

As part of the partnership, all courses delivered at NHAM will now be approved and awarded by BIMM University. This means students enrolling from September 2025 onwards will study on validated programmes and graduate with a BIMM University qualification — recognised across the creative industries in the UK and internationally.

In addition to enhanced academic recognition, NHAM students will gain access to collaborative projects and networking opportunities with students from across BIMM University’s campuses and disciplines, creating a vibrant, cross-disciplinary environment that reflects the realities of today’s music and creative industries.

“This partnership marks a new chapter for Notting Hill Academy of Music,” said NHAM Founder Shabs Jobanputra. “We are proud to join forces with BIMM University to offer our students a qualification that carries real weight in the industry, while continuing to deliver the hands-on, industry-led teaching that NHAM is known for. Together, we are opening new doors for emerging talent.”

David Rowe, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Music at BIMM University, added: “We are delighted to welcome Notting Hill Academy of Music into the BIMM University family. NHAM’s focus on the music industry and its innovative approach to education align perfectly with our mission to nurture the next generation of creative professionals.”

The partnership is now in effect, with BIMM University-approved programmes launching at NHAM from September 2025.
